# About Last Lab

## Why we built it

1. **A Coursera-quality experience for any resource.** We wanted the combination of video, in-context prompts, quizzes, and graded exercises to exist for any reproducible material, not just for courses someone had already produced.
2. **Learning was only the beginning.** Reproducing a research paper can take weeks or months. A system that extracts the source correctly, resolves its artifacts, and delivers a working implementation gives that time back.
3. **So we built for reproducibility.** A verified Jupyter lab surrounded by source-grounded explanations, Lens, exercises, Axiom, and ready compute.

## Why a platform, not an agent

General-purpose coding agents help you write code, but reproducibility starts before coding. The source has to be extracted correctly and understood as one connected body of context, and the result has to actually run.

This is a harness problem, not an intelligence problem.

## Team

- **Sheikh Taha Maroof**, Co-Founder. Over three years building 0 to 1 B2B enterprise AI platforms covering agent systems, evaluation, and infrastructure. Previously owned the multi-agent decision-intelligence system at Spheresmith, whose text-to-SQL agent benchmarks at top-10 level on BIRD. Earlier led AI work at FinOpsly.
- **Saksham Bisen**, Co-Founder. Three years across AI infrastructure, protocol engineering, and autonomous systems. Previously at Turing authoring bug-detection, code-reasoning, and multimodal training data for frontier models including Gemini and Llama. Multiple national and international hackathon wins.

## Stage
