## What is Last Lab?

Last Lab turns existing technical knowledge into a verified, running Jupyter notebook in about 10 minutes. Give it a research paper, a YouTube video or playlist, a GitHub repository, a blog post, documentation, or your own PDFs and slides, and you get back a notebook that has already been executed end to end, with source-grounded explanations, extracted artifacts, exercises, and the compute to run it on.

## What does the 100% execution guarantee cover?

Every notebook is run end to end before it reaches you: dependencies installed, datasets fetched, environment matched to your compute, and cells passing in order. If it cannot be made to run, it does not ship and you are told why. You never inherit the debugging for code an agent merely felt confident about.

## Is Last Lab free to try?

Yes. Create an account and get hands-on with the premium features, including a generous GPU free tier.

## How is Last Lab different from Jupyter or Google Colab?

Jupyter and Colab give you an empty notebook and a runtime. You still have to read the source correctly, write the implementation, resolve the dependencies, find the data, and prove the result. Last Lab does that work and hands you the finished, executed notebook with its environment already resolved, plus the explanations tracing each step back to the source.

## How is Last Lab different from NotebookLM?

NotebookLM helps you read and question a set of documents. It does not produce a running implementation. Last Lab's output is executable: a notebook that has been run on real compute, with resolved datasets and dependencies, not a summary of a source.

## Why not just paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor?

General coding agents help you write code, but reproduction starts before coding. The source has to be extracted correctly and understood as one connected body of context, and the result has to actually run. An agent that hands over an implementation has proven nothing. This is a harness problem, not an intelligence problem.

## What is Axiom?

Axiom is the assistant that has already read your resource. It is scoped to your current session, so you can reference any video frame, lab cell, quiz answer, note, or extracted artifact and ask about it directly. No pasting context back and forth.

## What is marquee-select?

Draw a selection across any combination of content: video frames, PDF paragraphs, code cells, extracted artifacts, quiz questions. Then ask Axiom about it, save it to Lens with its source attached, or drop it into your notes. It enables cross-modal questioning that mirrors how people actually cross-reference material.

## Do I need my own GPU?

No. Labs come with persistent compute, including CPU and a generous GPU free tier. Your environment, files, and state are still there when you come back months later and hit Run.

## Can it implement something with no public code?

Yes. That is the case Last Lab is built for. TurboQuant, a paper with no public implementation, runs as a lab with each step traced back to the paper it came from.

## Can it build an application from my requirements doc?

No. That is construction from a specification, not reproduction. Last Lab reproduces existing technical knowledge that already has a source to be checked against.

## Is Last Lab available for institutes?

We are building an institutional platform covering cohort management, lab assignment workflows, learning analytics dashboards, and LMS integration. Pilots are open for bootcamps, training programs, and labs. Contact us if you want early access.

## Can I use Last Lab for my team?

Real-time collaboration is in active development. You will be able to share labs, work in the same session with access control, and use shared resources inside a team workspace. Enterprises can deploy inside their own boundary with SSO, RBAC, and audit.

## What content formats does Last Lab support?

Today Last Lab supports YouTube videos and PDF uploads. Support for more sources is actively in development: arXiv, GitHub, Medium, documentation sites, lecture recordings, PPT, Word, and plain text.

## What programming languages are supported?

Generated labs currently focus on Python for AI, machine learning, data science, and data analysis. Support for additional languages and domains, including JavaScript, Java, Go, and Rust, is on our roadmap.

## Can I take the notebook with me?

Yes. A lab is a real Jupyter notebook with its environment, files, and state persisted, so it stays reopenable and runnable rather than locked to a viewer.

## How secure is my data?

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not use your content or code to train AI models. Lab sessions are isolated per user, and we follow industry best practices for data protection. We are actively working towards compliance with enterprise security standards such as SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR. Enterprises can deploy into their own VPC, private cloud, or on-premise environment.
